EGWA TAWA DEE WHERE TO GO CAMPING GUIDE
For 100 years, the Order of the Arrow (OA) has recognized Scouts and Scouters who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives. This recognition provides encouragement for others to live these ideals as well. Arrowmen are known for maintaining camping traditions and spirit, promoting year-round and long term resident camping, and providing cheerful service to others. OA service, activities, adventures, and training for youth and adults are models of quality leadership development and programming that enrich and help to extend Scouting to America’s youth.

Election Information – How do Scouts and Venturers Join the Order of the Arrow?
Order of the Arrow Membership Page
To become a member of the Order of the Arrow, a Scout or Venturer is chosen by a vote of the youth in his or her Unit. This annual opportunity for youth to elect their peers is provided by the local OA chapter through Unit Election Teams. Teams make a scheduled visit to each requesting unit to conduct the election by coordinating with the Scoutmaster/Crew Advisor to ensure the election is conducted in accordance with the current Order of the Arrow guidelines. Our lodge, Egwa Tawa Dee, establishes the time period for the annual unit election cycle. Egwa Tawa Dee Lodge has set the annual election cycle to start January 1st and end March 31st each year.
To request a unit election, contact us at OAelectionsilvercomet@aacegwa.org with your Troop/Crew number, Scoutmaster/Crew Advisor name and contact info, location info, meeting time, and preferred date. A member of the election team will contact you to schedule your unit’s election.
